Entre Nos (Between us) is a multi-screen video work that reimagines the backdrops of commercial gay porn featuring Latino actors. Using image sampling and AI background expansion, these settings become hybrid spaces that blur the line between documentation and fabrication. Backgrounds are sampled from the top search results for “Latino” on PornHub.
Removing explicit content, the work focuses instead on the romantic, intimate gesture of kissing. Glitched, zoomed-in fragments deconstruct the original scenes, highlighting fleeting tenderness within the layered architecture of the makeshift sets. These off-frame acts are mediated through recurrent screens—cameras, phones, and monitors—allowing the viewer to witness what otherwise couldn’t be seen.
